Jan Juc Hotel

The first hotel in Jan Juc PABs Tavern opened in October 1990 and was the vision of John Ainsworth who had recently retired from the regular army. Ainsworth together with partners Peter Papworth and Barry Boocock purchased the land and built the hotel whose name is an acronym of their surnames. The premises had a general licence and comprised a restaurant, cocktail bar, bottle shop and bistro bar. Ainsworth was the nominee and eventually became sole owner until he sold the freehold in 2009. It is now known as The Beach Hotel.
